FleetStar Financial: Bringing Seminar Marketing In-House

A boutique retirement planning firm replaced a black-box seminar marketing vendor with an in-house funnel run by GHD — paid social, HubSpot automation, analytics, and compliance-aware operations.

The challenge

FleetStar Financial's primary growth channel is an educational retirement-planning seminar series. That channel used to run through a third-party vendor that managed campaigns end-to-end under its own brand — and returned almost no performance data. FleetStar couldn't see what was working, didn't own its audiences, and couldn't improve a funnel it couldn't measure.

The approach

Great Harbor Digital rebuilt the seminar funnel in-house. Meta advertising runs under the financial-services Special Ad Category, where standard targeting tools are restricted — so campaigns lean on creative self-selection, geographic radius targeting, and first-party audiences instead. HubSpot handles the rest of the journey: registration, post-event drip sequences, newsletters, and CRM reporting oriented around the metric that matters — booked consultations. GHD also cleaned up the analytics foundation, filtering bot traffic out of GA4 so topline numbers could be trusted, all within a compliance-aware workflow built for a regulated industry.

The results

FleetStar now owns its funnel end to end: its ad accounts, its audiences, its contact database, and its data. Every campaign is measurable from first impression to booked consultation, and each seminar cycle inherits the infrastructure and learnings of the last one instead of starting over with a vendor's black box.
